Spectators: 7487 (Terracing: 5616, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Teobaldo Gaizkine got the match started through his kick off. After 12 minutes, Teobaldo Gaizkine made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Åsnes's David Reitan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 17 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Gaizkine came free, but David Reitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Atlético Patoruzu's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Zahl came free, but Tony Joyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Patoruzu's zone, Karl Zahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Joyce came out of the goal and Karl Zahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Åsnes booed when Atlético Patoruzu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Cavazos didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Reitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Gaizkine in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rdth minute of the game Karl Zahl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Patoruzu's Tony Joyce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Åsnes's Karl Zahl in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Patoruzu's goalie prevented a goal. Karl Zahl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Tony Joyce made a huge save. Tony Joyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Zahl in the 40th minute of play. Atlético Patoruzu were furious when Hal Cortez was red carded, 42 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 42nd minute, one of Atlético Patoruzu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético Patoruzu. Kim Alnes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tony Joyce came out and tried to block the shot, but Kim Alnes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl Zahl to strike the kick off in the second half. When Åsnes's Karl Zahl in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee ignored Åsnes's protests and gave Cato Haglund a yellow card for diving instead. 67 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Rodriguez came free, but David Reitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Javier Rodriguez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Reitan. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 72nd minute, Marcelo Marcello fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Atlético Patoruzu made a substitution. Jason Douglas replaced Javier Rodriguez. In the 74th match minute, Atlético Patoruzu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Macias to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the game, Atlético Patoruzu's Jason Douglas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Reitan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. In the 86th minute, Marcelo Marcello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Joyce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Zahl in the 89th minute of the match. Atlético Patoruzu played a much better game than Åsnes and deserved their victory. The Åsnes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
