Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgilio Paulin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Yalapa's Leon Otoniel got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 41st match minute, Yalapa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justo Abecia to maneuver through the defense. Bruce Harper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Jonatan Aznaro hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, Yalapa's Inocencio Sidoro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bengi Price narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bengi Price made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbano Ramond in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Yalapa's goal looked a bit too open when Matías Suárez came free, but Everardo Sal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 minutes of play Yalapa's Justo Abecia was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ booed when Yalapa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Abecia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgilio Paulin scored 0-4 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengi Price, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonatan Aznaro kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. A hard shot by Godofredo Hodei from long distance, 73 minutes into the match, got Bengi Price's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Hernan Lehior fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s protests and gave Hernan Lehior a yellow card for diving instead. Hernan Lehior hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the game, Matías Suárez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Everardo Sal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 92nd minute, Matías Suárez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Everardo Sal was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. When the match was over Yalapa could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ throughout the match.
