Amado Salazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Catarinense F.C.'s Benicio Gaitan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Salazar in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Alcides Antas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benicio Gaitan. Catarinense F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alcides Antas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, Amado Salazar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benicio Gaitan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benicio Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Salazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alcides Antas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Gaitan having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Alcides Antas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catarinense F.C.'s goalkeeper Benicio Gaitan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Viseu United booed when Catarinense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Ipar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benicio Gaitan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amado Salazar's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Alcides Antas took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benicio Gaitan. Benicio Gaitan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Benicio Gaitan came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Viseu United's Amado Salazar. But to his dismay, Amado Salazar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 38 minutes into the match, Catarinense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alcides Antas came free, but Benicio Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amado Salazar took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benicio Gaitan. Benicio Gaitan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Tadzio was the one to do the kick off. Amado Salazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Catarinense F.C. getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Adolfo Ipar hit a great ball. If Amado Salazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 59th minute, Amado Salazar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benicio Gaitan. The goal made the score 0-8. Viseu United made a substitution. Adelino Marques replaced Amado Salazar. In the 67th minute, Adelino Marques reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benicio Gaitan. The goal made the score 0-9. Viseu United made a substitution. Valter Bentes replaced David Moreira. Benicio Gaitan stood somewhat misplaced when Adelino Marques came free in front of goal and shot 0-10 to the left of him in the 72 minute. Adelino Marques charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Marques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Adelino Marques came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Viseu United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelino Marques couldn't finish the play. Benicio Gaitan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adelino Marques went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. Benicio Gaitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Severo Etor hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Viseu United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Catarinense F.C..
