In the 3rd minute, Cruz Logroño ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toninho Moura was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eléctricos F.C.'s Virila Aya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Eléctricos F.C. from getting a goal against them. When Noel Carioca fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wambalamba FC's protests and gave Noel Carioca a yellow card for diving instead. Noel Carioca hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. When Emilio Lariz came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Eléctricos F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Lariz couldn't finish the play. Zernin Pellicer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Wambalamba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cruz Logroño came free, but Toninho Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wambalamba FC's Toninho Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cruz Logroño in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Jardel Loureiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wambalamba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eléctricos F.C. the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes in the game, Díaz Tristan dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Toninho Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Díaz Tristan in the 29th minute of play. Wambalamba FC's Jardel Loureiro got his second yellow card of the match in the 29th minute. The referee ordered Jardel Loureiro off the ground. In the 30th match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cruz Logroño in the 37th minute of play forced Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper Toninho Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toninho Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cruz Logroño in the 39th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Díaz Tristan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toninho Moura was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Díaz Tristan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Moura having to interfere. After 48 minutes, Egídio Seco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wambalamba FC and the Eléctricos F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Wambalamba FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Eléctricos F.C.:s goal. Wambalamba FC:s Toninho Moura showed great skill when he stopped Parrales Pazo:s penalty. Parrales Pazo took the ball and in the 49 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toninho Moura. Toninho Moura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After the first half Eléctricos F.C. were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dário Diniz to strike the kick off in the second half. Dário Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Eléctricos F.C.'s Díaz Tristan in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wambalamba FC's goalie prevented a goal. The attack was good, but when Zernin Pellicer in the 61st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Wambalamba FC's Toninho Moura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Wambalamba FC from getting a goal against them. 64 minutes into the match, Wambalamba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cruz Logroño came free, but Toninho Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Jaurigui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Moura having to interfere. Wambalamba FC's Toninho Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cruz Logroño in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper Toninho Moura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cruz Logroño. In the 95thth minute of the game Díaz Tristan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wambalamba FC's Toninho Moura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 96 minutes, João Paulo Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wambalamba FC and the Eléctricos F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute, João Paulo Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toninho Moura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Díaz Tristan's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. Eléctricos F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
