Diego Fidensio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonardo Martins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match La Primera Barra 1968 got a corner. SLB TELHA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nicasio Giro ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on La Primera Barra 1968's corner Nicasio Giro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leonardo Martins quite easily take care of the ball. Segundo Cordareo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The supporters of La Primera Barra 1968 booed when SLB TELHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Diego Fidensio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonardo Martins was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 15th minute, Diego Fidensio made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Martins. SLB TELHA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Leonel Vilarinho hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Astor Primo took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonardo Martins. Leonardo Martins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 27 minutes into the match, SLB TELHA's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Primo came free, but Leonardo Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeronimo Barto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilson Pinhal in the 30th minute. Segundo Cordareo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Palmiro Castro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeronimo Barto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hipólito Prestes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jeronimo Barto firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 36 played minutes La Primera Barra 1968 got a freekick which was hit by Diego Fidensio. 38 minutes into the game, SLB TELHA's Hipólito Prestes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeronimo Barto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Thanks to some nice moves Hipólito Prestes could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Jeronimo Barto however easily saved by the left post. 47 minutes into the match, La Primera Barra 1968's goalkeeper Jeronimo Barto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hipólito Prestes. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hipólito Prestes made a kick off. After 52 played minutes SLB TELHA got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Mendes. In the 61st minute, Segundo Cordareo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 minutes, Leonel Vilarinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SLB TELHA and the La Primera Barra 1968 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Vilarinho to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the game, Hipólito Prestes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Jeronimo Barto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Mikolas kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Palmiro Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SLB TELHA players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
