Jano Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute Dorel Pipirig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jano Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, João Paulo Lucas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC La Masia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carpathians the free kick. Jano Madureira came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Carpathians's Dorel Pipirig. But to his dismay, Dorel Pipirig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 37th minute, Dorel Pipirig made a precise shot to the right of Jano Madureira. FC La Masia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Jano Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ursus Martin, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. FC La Masia's Jano Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorel Pipirig in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorel Pipirig to make the kick off.
