Leonardo Grep started the match with the kick off. Östen Flinck hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dirk Talsma in the 5th minute of play forced FC Hans's goalkeeper Filiph Nordin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Hans's Filiph Nordin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Ginneken in the 8th minute of play. Dirk Talsma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Filiph Nordin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Hans's Filiph Nordin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hans from getting a goal against them. Filiph Nordin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dirk Talsma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elbert Spanjer's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Filiph Nordin firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of FC Hans booed when De Pelgrims was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Craandijk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Grep's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurens Oosterman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Laurens Oosterman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Håkansson in the 21st minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, FC Hans's Leonardo Grep sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laurens Oosterman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Laurens Oosterman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Godholm in the 36th minute of play. In the 41st minute Dirk Talsma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiph Nordin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Elroy Kuypers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Dirk Talsma dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Filiph Nordin, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
