After some careless play in the San Martin de Tucuman defense, Roman Samaniego kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo Vincent. The San Martin de Tucuman fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Vincent should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damian Quiroga in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Martelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th minute, Roman Samaniego hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Damian Quiroga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Martelo. ............'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Quiroga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. ............'s Humberto Martelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Lalla in the 20th minute of play. Leandro Lluques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Roman Samaniego hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Martelo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 37th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Damian Quiroga. ............'s Pedro Gatnau quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Christian Guillelmo, made in the 40th minute of the game. Amadeo Vincent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Samaniego in the 41st minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Maximo Diegotxe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Martin de Tucuman's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ............ the free kick. After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucuman's Maximo Diegotxe got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 46th minute Roman Samaniego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Vincent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damian Quiroga was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of San Martin de Tucuman booed when ............ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. James Lezana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humberto Martelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Lluques in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to ............ getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Roman Samaniego hit a great ball. Leandro Lluques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Humberto Martelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Martelo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leandro Lluques went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to San Martin de Tucuman getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Maximo Diegotxe hit a great ball. Humberto Martelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Lluques in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Lalla in the 69th minute of play forced ............'s goalkeeper Humberto Martelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Martelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leandro Lluques's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute Damian Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Martelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th match minute, ............ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Gatnau to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, ............'s Mario Mariny got a free kick in the 84th minute. Leandro Lluques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Martelo having to interfere.
