The supporters of Gärsnäs BF booed when San Martin de Tucuman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedicto Lalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Flavio Blai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Thor Nordin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ingvar Nyqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thor Nordin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavio Blai in the 15th minute. Karl-Johan Magnusson charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl-Johan Magnusson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amadeo Vincent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dane Friebe in the 23rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as San Martin de Tucuman's Benedicto Lalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thor Nordin. That made the score 2-0 after 28 minutes of play. In the 31st minute, Ingvar Nyqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Benedicto Lalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thor Nordin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dane Friebe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thor Nordin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Quiroga in the 55th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Dane Friebe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Amadeo Vincent was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Etxepare in the 68th minute of play forced Gärsnäs BF's goalkeeper Thor Nordin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thor Nordin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Etxepare, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Gärsnäs BF's Thor Nordin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Etxepare in the 71st minute of play. Hermengildo Birjaio hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Dane Friebe sped through San Martin de Tucuman's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amadeo Vincent. After 76 played minutes Gärsnäs BF got a freekick which was hit by Bo Drake. A collision led to San Martin de Tucuman getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Valentin Jaunzuria hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Etxepare in the 82nd minute of play forced Gärsnäs BF's goalkeeper Thor Nordin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Gaston Etxepare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thor Nordin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Gärsnäs BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Nyqvist to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Leiva struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Amadeo Vincent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gärsnäs BF. After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucuman's Valentin Jaunzuria got a free kick in the 95th minute. San Martin de Tucuman's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
