Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Arne Söderberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Elizabeth Three Lions FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to San Martin de Tucuman getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Luisito Seme hit a great ball. In the 30th match minute, San Martin de Tucuman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Etxepare to maneuver through the defense. Arne Söderberg made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Gaston Etxepare sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danny Ings to strike the kick off in the second half. Amadeo Vincent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Ings in the 53rd minute of the match. Arne Söderberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Birjaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Tony Hibbert got a free kick in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Lalla came free, but Arne Söderberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucuman's Hermengildo Birjaio got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 93rd minute of the match San Martin de Tucuman got a corner. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Damian Quiroga ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gaston Etxepare's late challenge caught a Elizabeth Three Lions FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaston Etxepare helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes San Martin de Tucuman got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Etxepare. The Elizabeth Three Lions FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
