Spectators: 7487 (Terracing: 5616, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Gaston Etxepare started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute Adam Belon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Giraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valérien Jouglet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaston Etxepare's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute, Gaston Etxepare ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valérien Jouglet was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Terry Constant kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Valérien Jouglet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Etxepare, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Stade Ygossais's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Etxepare came free, but Valérien Jouglet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Hondo in the 27th minute of play forced Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Valérien Jouglet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisito Seme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Valérien Jouglet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedicto Lalla scored 1-4 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valérien Jouglet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaston Etxepare in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valérien Jouglet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the game, San Martin de Tucuman's Benedicto Lalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valérien Jouglet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Stade Ygossais's Valérien Jouglet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Quiroga in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Stade Ygossais's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Hondo came free, but Valérien Jouglet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valérien Jouglet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Hondo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Stade Ygossais's Cédric Louison dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 58th minute Damian Quiroga suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by René Salhi during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Stade Ygossais got a freekick which was hit by René Salhi. In the 60th minute Benedicto Lalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valérien Jouglet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedicto Lalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valérien Jouglet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Benedicto Lalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Martin de Tucuman fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. Valérien Jouglet was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gaston Etxepare showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-7 in the 72 minute of play. Stade Ygossais's Valérien Jouglet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Etxepare in the 76th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Valérien Jouglet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Etxepare. In the 81st minute, Terry Constant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valérien Jouglet was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Prospero Santo. In the 82nd minute, Martial Jay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 95 minutes of play, San Martin de Tucuman's Gaston Etxepare made it 2-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valérien Jouglet was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded San Martin de Tucuman left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Stade Ygossais.
