Alfredo Franceschi came out of the goal and Kevin Dubois tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 10 minutes, Camillo Alfieri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Murçia FC and the Illinois Bluewaters players grew even worse after the yellow card. Camillo Alfieri kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Sal Jarrell reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfredo Franceschi. The goal made the score 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Illinois Bluewaters's Deshawn Glenn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Franceschi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The Illinois Bluewaters fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Illinois Bluewaters's Deshawn Glenn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Roger Myles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Gualtieri's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 43rd minute, Francesco Bomba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the game, Sal Jarrell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfredo Franceschi. Sal Jarrell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.
When Illinois Bluewaters's Sal Jarrell in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Murçia FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Kevin Dubois came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Illinois Bluewaters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Dubois couldn't finish the play. In the 57th match minute, Real Murçia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camillo Lattanzio to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Illinois Bluewaters's Raymond Curran got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Deshawn Glenn sped through Real Murçia FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredo Franceschi. Real Murçia FC's Alfredo Franceschi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deshawn Glenn in the 70th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kevin Dubois in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Franceschi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frank Gualtieri hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Illinois Bluewaters's Deshawn Glenn got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deshawn Glenn in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Franceschi saved Real Murçia FC from getting behind. 84 minutes into the game, Illinois Bluewaters's Sal Jarrell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Franceschi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. In the 90th minute, Deshawn Glenn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Deshawn Glenn notched a goal, 10-1, to the right of Real Murçia FC's Alfredo Franceschi. Alfredo Franceschi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Illinois Bluewaters fully deserved thier win.
