Sandro Asteguieta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Jerano in the 7th minute of the match. Sandro Asteguieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Arnau in the 10th minute of play. Juan Rosario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, CD Suscal's Xicu Ibarzabal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mariano Nel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 24th minute, Emiliano Rubial reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mariano Nel. The goal made the score 3-0. The supporters of CD Suscal booed when Los Laguneros de AT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Samuels didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Nel made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Xicu Ibarzabal sent off a good shot on target. After 45 played minutes Los Laguneros de AT got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Sanchez. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Rubial in the 53rd minute of play forced Los Laguneros de AT's goalkeeper Mariano Nel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xicu Ibarzabal kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, Xicu Ibarzabal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Mariano Nel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Los Laguneros de AT defense, Xicu Ibarzabal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Nel. The Los Laguneros de AT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Nel should have stopped the shot. Mariano Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xicu Ibarzabal, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Mariano Nel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asensio Deco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Nel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector-Luis Jubitero in the 73rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Los Laguneros de AT defense, Hector-Luis Jubitero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Nel. The Los Laguneros de AT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Nel should have stopped the shot. Mariano Nel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xicu Ibarzabal in the 78th minute of the match. Eduardo Sanchez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Rubial in the 87th minute of play forced Los Laguneros de AT's goalkeeper Mariano Nel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 played minutes Los Laguneros de AT got a freekick which was hit by Agustin Arnau. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Juarbe in the 93rd minute of play forced Los Laguneros de AT's goalkeeper Mariano Nel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mateo Juarbe came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the CD Suscal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateo Juarbe couldn't finish the play.
