The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrej Varga made a kick off. A collision led to FC DNV Bratiskava getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Marek Havran hit a great ball. After 58 minutes of play, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Marcelo Erruki made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pavol Chmelo was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to FC DNV Bratiskava getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Stanislav Božok hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Edgardo Tauro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aaron Karlstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrej Varga in the 66th minute of play. During the 68th minute of the match Tibor Partil completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tibor Partil a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edgardo Tauro in the 74th minute. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Edgardo Tauro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pavol Chmelo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
