An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Cedro in the 14th minute of play forced Reko-Recko 03™'s goalkeeper Angelino Nueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of LOS MENTI booed when Reko-Recko 03™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelino Nueva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braulio Pacho's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giuseppe de Souza got free with Melchor Gartzea in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Melchor Gartzea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarbas Pombal in the 31st minute of the match. Angelino Nueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Pacho in the 37th minute of play. Jarbas Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Melchor Gartzea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelino Nueva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Pacho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jarbas Pombal to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustino Cedro in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelino Nueva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarbas Pombal in the 58th minute of play forced LOS MENTI's goalkeeper Melchor Gartzea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Reko-Recko 03™'s goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Oinaz came free, but Angelino Nueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Braulio Pacho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Braulio Pacho managed to get in a good position for a shot. LOS MENTI's supporters rose to their feet, but Braulio Pacho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Jaizki hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Marcial Eztebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Nueva having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ed Mundo in the 78th minute of play forced LOS MENTI's goalkeeper Melchor Gartzea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for LOS MENTI! The referee gave Reko-Recko 03™ a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abel de Almeida, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of LOS MENTI's Melchor Gartzea. 1-0.
