After 3 played minutes Lúcio Dantas shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Sheep United's Douwe Gentenaar to catch but Lúcio Dantas was lucky. It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Douwe Gentenaar was a little too slow when Carlos da Costa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 2-0. 8 minutes into the match, Luís Eduardo Prado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Douwe Gentenaar. Sheep United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Eduardo Prado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 11 minutes into the match, Sheep United's goalkeeper Douwe Gentenaar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdo Gonçalves. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilmar Paes got free with Douwe Gentenaar in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Compostela FSCMZ booed when Sheep United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Eylens didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Valdo Gonçalves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Douwe Gentenaar. Valdo Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Douwe Gentenaar made a huge save. Han Koekkoek kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Sheep United's Douwe Gentenaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Prado in the 35th minute of play. Douwe Gentenaar made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Gilmar Paes sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Compostela FSCMZ booed when Sheep United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Kuiper didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douwe Gentenaar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos da Costa in the 48th minute of the match.

After 53 minutes, Michael Kuiper mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sheep United and the Compostela FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sheep United getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Michael Kuiper hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Sheep United's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Gonçalves came free, but Douwe Gentenaar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo Prado in the 62nd minute of play forced Sheep United's goalkeeper Douwe Gentenaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douwe Gentenaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Eduardo Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the game, Compostela FSCMZ's Luís Eduardo Prado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Douwe Gentenaar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. 79 minutes into the game, Romário Borges cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Douwe Gentenaar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douwe Gentenaar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Prado in the 84th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Valdo Gonçalves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Douwe Gentenaar was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. In the 93rd minute, Richard Quintal made a precise shot to the right of Douwe Gentenaar. Sheep United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-1. Compostela FSCMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
