In the 6th minute, Quilino Talavera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Menelaos Damianos charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Menelaos Damianos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Albérico Igrejas had in the 10thth minute some difficulties stopping Quilino Talavera's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Otero Radaban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Hispania defense, Claudemiro Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elivareo Novo. The Hispania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elivareo Novo should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Hispania booed when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gentil Candal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nel Gutierrez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Hispania defense, Silvério Vides kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elivareo Novo. The Hispania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elivareo Novo should have stopped the shot. Elivareo Novo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudemiro Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Claudemiro Madureira took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elivareo Novo. Elivareo Novo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 33rd minute, Lamberto Bergada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 played minutes Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. got a freekick which was hit by Israel Patrício. Otero Radaban hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Menelaos Damianos got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Albérico Igrejas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quilino Talavera in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quilino Talavera to make the kick off. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when Hispania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veto Jareño didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Silvério Vides kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elivareo Novo. That made the score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. The supporters of Hispania booed when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Menelaos Damianos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Claudemiro Madureira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Elivareo Novo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 65 minutes into the match, Claudemiro Madureira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elivareo Novo. Hispania's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudemiro Madureira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Hispania's Elivareo Novo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudemiro Madureira in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quilino Talavera in the 71st minute of play forced Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Albérico Igrejas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Lousada during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. David Lousada hit a great ball. Albérico Igrejas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nel Gutierrez in the 76th minute of the match. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Albérico Igrejas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quilino Talavera in the 82nd minute of play. Otero Radaban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Quilino Talavera in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albérico Igrejas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 89 minutes of play, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Claudemiro Madureira made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elivareo Novo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Elivareo Novo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudemiro Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Altino Vidal hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Hispania fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
