With a little luck, Variante Delta's Tartalo Alarcon got control of the ball when Aristides Cavaco tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 15 minutes, Jorge Botella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Variante Delta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Botella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute, Aristides Cavaco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tartalo Alarcon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, SC Angrense's Alfredo Macena got a free kick in the 20th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Angrense's Aristides Cavaco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tartalo Alarcon. That made the score 2-0 after 28 minutes of play. After 33 played minutes SC Angrense got a freekick which was hit by Tzeko Kotlarski. Tartalo Alarcon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Cavaco in the 36th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Villatoro during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Variante Delta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Rivera to maneuver through the defense. Tartalo Alarcon acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Caetano Curado. Caetano Curado hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 51st match minute, Variante Delta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Eneche to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of SC Angrense booed when Variante Delta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Eneche didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Angrense's Manuel Leme got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Jorge Botella took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Sebastião Monsanto to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Cavaco in the 69th minute of play forced Variante Delta's goalkeeper Tartalo Alarcon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tartalo Alarcon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute Manuel Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tartalo Alarcon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tartalo Alarcon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Cavaco, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When SC Angrense's Aristides Cavaco in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
