The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruninho Breckenfeld in the 4th minute of play forced Atlético Arenillas's goalkeeper Roman Barrufet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mei Xiang Ting sped through Atlético Arenillas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roman Barrufet. Renato Mello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA booed when Atlético Arenillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lopez Coteron didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Renato Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the game, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Wellington Marquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roman Barrufet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, Atlético Arenillas's goal looked a bit too open when Mei Xiang Ting came free, but Roman Barrufet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roman Barrufet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mei Xiang Ting, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mei Xiang Ting scored 0-5 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roman Barrufet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Léo Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Mei Xiang Ting notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Atlético Arenillas's Roman Barrufet. Roman Barrufet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roman Barrufet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mei Xiang Ting in the 44th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Atlético Arenillas defense, Mei Xiang Ting kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roman Barrufet. The Atlético Arenillas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Barrufet should have stopped the shot. The Atlético Arenillas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA were winning 0-7.

After 57 played minutes Atlético Arenillas got a freekick which was hit by Alvarez Onis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yu Hong Yong in the 58th minute of play forced Atlético Arenillas's goalkeeper Roman Barrufet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Xzaver Garival fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Arenillas's protests and gave Xzaver Garival a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atlético Arenillas getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Xzaver Garival hit a great ball. In the 66th minute, Diego Silva reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Roman Barrufet. The goal made the score 0-8. In the 69th match minute, Atlético Arenillas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvarez Onis to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Léo Paiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roman Barrufet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruninho Breckenfeld got free with Roman Barrufet in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Atlético Arenillas defense, Renato Mello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roman Barrufet. The Atlético Arenillas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Barrufet should have stopped the shot. 86 minutes into the game, Diego Silva recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roman Barrufet. Diego Silva showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. Xzaver Garival kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Atlético Arenillas's Lopez Coteron got a free kick in the 91st minute. Mei Xiang Ting took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roman Barrufet. Roman Barrufet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. Bruninho Breckenfeld received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roman Barrufet came out and tried to block the shot, but Bruninho Breckenfeld slotted it home off the left post making it 0-12 in the 95th minute.
