The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Fantini in the 4th minute of play forced Durazno FC's goalkeeper 龙笑霖 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernt Jønsson's late challenge caught a Durazno FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernt Jønsson helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Francis during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes Durazno FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Francis. Bernt Jønsson in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of 龙笑霖, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Palmeiras's Bernt Jønsson got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Durazno FC's 龙笑霖 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Fantini in the 12th minute of play. Bernt Jønsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. 龙笑霖 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pegoraro Da Messina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Wesley Fantini fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palmeiras's protests and gave Wesley Fantini a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras's Wesley Fantini got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Palmeiras's Pegoraro Da Messina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Hernandez in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Gomes to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Romeo Hernandez made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Palmeiras's zone, Romeo Hernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pegoraro Da Messina came out of the goal and Romeo Hernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredão França made a great header on Palmeiras's corner, it was just that Durazno FC's 龙笑霖 managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 70th minute, Leonardo Donato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Durazno FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Jønsson came free, but 龙笑霖 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Leonardo Donato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 龙笑霖 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
