The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Garin Paderniga got free with Aires Guerris in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evelio Vaquero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roldan Alzaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute Roldan Alzaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Vaquero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Libertadores Fútbol Club's Evelio Vaquero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calle Inda in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Roldan Alzaga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ornopata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 21 minutes, Roldan Alzaga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ornopata and the Libertadores Fútbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ornopata's Roldan Alzaga got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes Libertadores Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Artizar Vilardell. Evelio Vaquero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiktor Björnsson in the 23rd minute of the match. Evelio Vaquero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Björnsson in the 23rd minute of play. Artizar Vilardell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Garin Paderniga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aires Guerris came out and tried to block the shot, but Garin Paderniga slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 26th minute. After 31 played minutes Ornopata got a freekick which was hit by Calle Inda. In the 39th minute, one of Ornopata:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ornopata. When the match had been going on for 41 minutes, Libertadores Fútbol Club's Ferrando Husarte got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aires Guerris. Calle Inda struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Evelio Vaquero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ornopata. Libertadores Fútbol Club's Evelio Vaquero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calle Inda in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The wind increased when Wiktor Björnsson made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Libertadores Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garin Paderniga to maneuver through the defense. Wiktor Björnsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Evelio Vaquero could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calle Inda in the 53rd minute of play forced Libertadores Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Evelio Vaquero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Libertadores Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Inda came free, but Evelio Vaquero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Garin Paderniga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes Libertadores Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Garin Paderniga. Evelio Vaquero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Inda in the 68th minute of play. Evelio Vaquero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calisto Belandia in the 72nd minute. But to his dismay, Wiktor Björnsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 84th minute, Ivon Notes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Libertadores Fútbol Club succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ornopata had controlled the match.
