Luiz Mello came out and tried to block the shot, but Zabal Araoz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 33rd minute. In the 37th match minute, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Faustino Oñiderra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Metanse el Sim por culo's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Oñiderra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Mello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th match minute, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Meirelles to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliciano Cedron made a kick off. Celio Tijero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ediberto Azevedo in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Intxixu Sampayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute Ediberto Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celio Tijero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hílton Vander came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hílton Vander couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino do Vale in the 88th minute of play forced Metanse el Sim por culo's goalkeeper Celio Tijero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Mello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Cedron, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the match was over CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Metanse el Sim por culo throughout the match.
