Rafael Martino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Orlin in the 6th minute of play. In the 11th minute Damaso Orlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Martino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Vicente Colas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute Hilario Rayman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Galeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Damian Raphael came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Raphael couldn't finish the play. Damaso Orlin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Rafael Martino made a huge save. Rafael Martino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Damaso Orlin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. After 25th play minutes Hilario Rayman shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Amado Galeno and just under the crossbar into goal. 28 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Bonadona came free, but Amado Galeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute of the match Club Sportivo Italiano got a corner. Racing Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leon Egun ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Club Sportivo Italiano's corner Leon Egun fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Amado Galeno quite easily take care of the ball. Isaac Sarracino kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Damian Raphael blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Martino having to make a save. With 35 minutes on the clock, Vicente Colas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Racing Club! Amado Galeno had in the 37thth minute some difficulties stopping Leon Egun's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 38th match minute, Club Sportivo Italiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Procopio to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th play minute Damaso Orlin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rafael Martino. 2-1. After having played for 42 minutes, Damaso Orlin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damaso Orlin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damaso Orlin to strike the kick off in the second half. When Apolo Azeari fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Sportivo Italiano's protests and gave Apolo Azeari a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes Club Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Azeari. Americo Gaskon struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Rafael Martino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. When Hilario Rayman fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Sportivo Italiano's protests and gave Hilario Rayman a yellow card for diving instead. Rafael Martino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damaso Orlin went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Club Sportivo Italiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Oxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Procopio charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Higinio Procopio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Club Sportivo Italiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Procopio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Damaso Orlin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafael Martino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Orlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Damaso Orlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Martino having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Club Sportivo Italiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Procopio to maneuver through the defense. Damaso Orlin struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Rafael Martino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. Damaso Orlin scored 4-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafael Martino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Racing Club's Amado Galeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Feliz in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute of the match, Teo Feliz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Amado Galeno saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Damaso Orlin put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rafael Martino. Damaso Orlin struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Rafael Martino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. Many of Club Sportivo Italiano's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Club Sportivo Italiano may have spent more time on the ball, but Racing Club were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
