Reynaldo Pinto came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bohórquez Doblas could save by the left post. Reynaldo Pinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bohórquez Doblas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrea Pavel in the 12th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Ghostbusters CF's Bohórquez Doblas threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andrea Pavel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Emilio Ganix's late challenge caught a Astillero del Guayas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilio Ganix helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Emilio Ganix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Andrea Pavel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bohórquez Doblas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ruperto Ufret hit a great ball. Bohórquez Doblas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrea Pavel's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Reynaldo Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Pinto struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Bohórquez Doblas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ghostbusters CF. Reynaldo Pinto in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bohórquez Doblas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Reynaldo Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reynaldo Pinto to strike the kick off in the second half. Ghostbusters CF's Augustin Dancu was substituted for Reynaldo Pinto. In the 52nd match minute, Astillero del Guayas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ibarra Iribe to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute of the match Tudor Filipașcu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bohórquez Doblas skillfully saved the ball. In the 57thth minute of the game Augustin Dancu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astillero del Guayas's Bohórquez Doblas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 59 minutes, Andrea Pavel made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Astillero del Guayas's Bohórquez Doblas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 66 minutes into the game, Basarab Surugiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Bohórquez Doblas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bohórquez Doblas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrea Pavel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Andrea Pavel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bohórquez Doblas was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. After 76 played minutes Ghostbusters CF got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Surugiu. Bohórquez Doblas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Pavel, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Zarando Eguizabal hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Basarab Surugiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Ştefan Cândreanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Nanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zarando Eguizabal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ghostbusters CF's Augustin Dancu got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bohórquez Doblas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrea Pavel in the 95th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Ghostbusters CF were victorious despite being under pressure from Astillero del Guayas for much of the match.
