Fragleses's Jaroslaw Pazura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zarando Eguizabal in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th match minute, Astillero del Guayas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paredes Campderros to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute Zbyszko Mazierski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bohórquez Doblas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dani Galiana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jaroslaw Pazura having to make a save. The attack was good, but when Zarando Eguizabal in the 8th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbyszko Mazierski in the 9th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Bohórquez Doblas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zarando Eguizabal struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Jaroslaw Pazura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Astillero del Guayas. The supporters of Fragleses booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paredes Campderros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Bohórquez Doblas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rdth minute of the game Zarando Eguizabal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fragleses's Jaroslaw Pazura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bohórquez Doblas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnaba Juszkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Stanislaw Wierzbicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paredes Campderros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jaroslaw Pazura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Bohórquez Doblas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xaven Galiana during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jaroslaw Pazura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paredes Campderros went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Lukasz Serwacki fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fragleses's protests and gave Lukasz Serwacki a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fragleses! 75 minutes into the game, Zarando Eguizabal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astillero del Guayas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fragleses the free kick. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Zarando Eguizabal got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 80 minutes Astillero del Guayas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tytus Maziarz who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Astillero del Guayas's goalie and right to Barnaba Juszkowski.
