The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Luganeros AFC got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Iratze. After some careless play in the Anarquia Atlético Clube defense, Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Barreto. The Anarquia Atlético Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Barreto should have stopped the shot. Marcus Barreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Anarquia Atlético Clube's Mathias de Barros got a free kick in the 21st minute. Marcus Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Iratze in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Orlando Belo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th match minute, Luganeros AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Belo to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Luganeros AFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Alberto Eguerdi hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Luganeros AFC's zone, Cléberson Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Giraldo came out of the goal and Cléberson Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcus Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Egídio Veiga made the kick off in the second half. Silvério Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Barreto was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. The supporters of Luganeros AFC booed when Anarquia Atlético Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuca Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 57 played minutes Anarquia Atlético Clube got a freekick which was hit by Samuca Gomes. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Vicente Richie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luganeros AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Richie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Barreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th match minute, Luganeros AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Eguerdi to maneuver through the defense. Egídio Veiga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christian Giraldo came out and tried to block the shot, but Egídio Veiga slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 67th minute. A collision led to Anarquia Atlético Clube getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. José Paulo Macedo hit a great ball. Marcus Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Richie in the 72nd minute of play. Marcus Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Richie in the 75th minute of the match. When Gogo Atarratze fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luganeros AFC's protests and gave Gogo Atarratze a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Luganeros AFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gogo Atarratze hit a great ball. Marcus Barreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Richie's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, Luganeros AFC's Gogo Atarratze got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 87 minutes of play, Luganeros AFC's Vicente Richie made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcus Barreto was left in no man's land by his defense there! 3-2 became the score in the 94th minute when Egídio Veiga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Many of Anarquia Atlético Clube's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Anarquia Atlético Clube may have spent more time on the ball, but Luganeros AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
