A wasted opportunity for IFK Fölet. 17 minutes into the game, IFK Fölet's Jan Örtendahl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marciano Blanco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixten Fridlund in the 20th minute of play forced Deportivo Pucho's goalkeeper Marciano Blanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rdth minute of the game Iwo Borcz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Pucho's Marciano Blanco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Gerardo Pere fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Marciano Blanco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ove Mellberg charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ove Mellberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ove Mellberg hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. A collision led to Deportivo Pucho getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Raul Brion hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iwo Borcz was the one to do the kick off. Iwo Borcz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Marciano Blanco made a huge save. Marciano Blanco stood somewhat misplaced when Iwo Borcz came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 54 minute. Marciano Blanco was a little too slow when Iwo Borcz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Pucho's zone, Iwo Borcz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marciano Blanco came out of the goal and Iwo Borcz tried to chip the ball over his head. A very good chance for a goal. 72 minutes into the game, Iwo Borcz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marciano Blanco. Iwo Borcz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. After some careless play in the Deportivo Pucho defense, Iwo Borcz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marciano Blanco. The Deportivo Pucho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marciano Blanco should have stopped the shot. If Jan Örtendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 85 minutes into the game, IFK Fölet's Iwo Borcz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marciano Blanco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Iwo Borcz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. IFK Fölet's Iwo Borcz got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iwo Borcz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marciano Blanco came out and tried to block the shot, but Iwo Borcz slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 93rd minute. When the match was over IFK Fölet could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Deportivo Pucho throughout the match.
