Spectators: 7541 (Terracing: 5657, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) Ambrose Keen made the kick off and thus started the match. Alfonso Damiani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denver Gagnon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flames FC's goalkeeper Denver Gagnon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Demetrio Cannata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th minute, Fiume Veneto's Cristoforo Schirone seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cristoforo Schirone the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Fiume Veneto protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cristoforo Schirone had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Fiume Veneto:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Flames FC:s goal. The referee gave Flames FC a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Micheal Burnham, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fiume Veneto's Domenico Forlano. 0-1. 20 minutes into the game, Adriano Sciotto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fiume Veneto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flames FC the free kick. After 21 minutes of play, Flames FC's Ambrose Keen made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domenico Forlano was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th minute, Philip Hood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Ambrose Keen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flames FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrose Keen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domenico Forlano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Domenico Forlano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Donovan in the 36th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Fiume Veneto's corner Edmondo Valcareggi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Denver Gagnon quite easily take care of the ball. In the 48th minute Sylvain Ransom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Forlano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Alfonso Damiani made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Fiume Veneto defense, Ambrose Keen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domenico Forlano. The Fiume Veneto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domenico Forlano should have stopped the shot. Denver Gagnon came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Fiume Veneto's Fabiano Borel. But to his dismay, Fabiano Borel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. A throw-in in the 76th minute of the game was made by Micheal Burnham with Philip Hood as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Flames FC's Philip Hood got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Flames FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Borel came free, but Denver Gagnon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Flames FC's Bill Peterson got a free kick in the 85th minute. The throw-in from Bill Peterson in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Fiume Veneto's Arturo Passerini. Alfonso Damiani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denver Gagnon having to interfere.
