After a rather tough play, C.A.Esparta's Denis Senon got a free kick in the 37th minute. Silverio Cordara acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lassi Kaikkonen. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Mauro Astudillo put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ossi Jukkola. In the 44th minute, Kim Innanen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silverio Cordara was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauro Astudillo was the one to do the kick off.
