Marian Podgoreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Çağatay Kocaman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tudor Bărbânță got free with Hüseyin Cahit Özertem in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hüseyin Cahit Özertem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tudor Bărbânță in the 24th minute. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Marian Podgoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafet Faydalı in the 25th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Tudor Bărbânță kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hüseyin Cahit Özertem. That made the score 2-0 in the 29 minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marian Podgoreanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafet Faydalı in the 47th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Marian Podgoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Umut Ülkenur got free with Marian Podgoreanu in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When CEHENNEM ANGELS FK's Arda Ozan Ereken in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalie prevented a goal.
