After a rather tough play, Timo!'s David Luzaide got a free kick in the 9th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Three Lions FC's goalkeeper Célio Baiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Franco. 24 minutes into the game, Timo!'s Arsenio Esquipula nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Célio Baiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 27th match minute, Timo! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Marko to maneuver through the defense. Júnior Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júnior Branco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes Three Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Branco. In the 33rd minute Oscar Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Three Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho Motta to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Timo!'s Roberto Muc broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Arsenio Esquipula took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Célio Baiano to make any attempt to save it. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Three Lions FC's goalkeeper Célio Baiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Célio Baiano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Stanislao in the 47th minute of play forced Three Lions FC's goalkeeper Célio Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Muc couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Timo! booed when Three Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulinho Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Célio Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Stanislao, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The supporters of Timo! booed when Three Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulinho Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pastor Marko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Célio Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Stanislao in the 68th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Three Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Franco came free, but Célio Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Oscar Linhares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodosio Nicholas was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 80 minutes into the match, Three Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Stanislao came free, but Célio Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Three Lions FC defense, Lucio Franco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Célio Baiano. The Three Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Célio Baiano should have stopped the shot. Teodosio Nicholas made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when João Hermes sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute Lucio Franco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Célio Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Three Lions FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
