The audience thought a goal was coming when Malvin Saura got free with Thiago Paraibano in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute, Milton Feria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giovanni Motta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severino Fernandez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Jenipapo SC's Daniel Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, one of Jenipapo SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 28th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. Riemannian's Igor Munoz suffered a sore foot after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Severino Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafa Brasil in the 38th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Roi Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Riemannian's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jenipapo SC the free kick. After 43 played minutes Riemannian got a freekick which was hit by Roi Fernandez. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andres Guijarro to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Andres Guijarro made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Jenipapo SC's Thiago Paraibano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Daniel Zonta got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 68 minutes into the game, Roi Fernandez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Thiago Paraibano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 80 minutes, Rafa Brasil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jenipapo SC and the Riemannian players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Brasil to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roi Fernandez in the 83rd minute of the match. Jenipapo SC may have spent more time on the ball, but Riemannian were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
