Arlindo Guedes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wellington Rodrigues's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Thiago Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gerber in the 22nd minute of play. Arlindo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wellington Rodrigues in the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Zé Roberto Matos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Thiago Paraibano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wellington Rodrigues got free with Arlindo Guedes in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Tomás Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. AF CERRADO's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Schmidt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Paraibano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Matos. Vítor Coelho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arlindo Guedes. AF CERRADO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save AF CERRADO from getting a goal against them. Laércio Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gerber came free, but Thiago Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Passos to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gerber's late challenge caught a Jenipapo SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. Joel Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute of the match Durval Passos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arlindo Guedes skillfully saved the ball. Arlindo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Rodrigues in the 74th minute of play. Thiago Paraibano came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by AF CERRADO's Joel Gerber. But to his dismay, Joel Gerber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Jenipapo SC booed when AF CERRADO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Paraibano was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Zé Roberto Matos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zé Roberto Matos really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. In the 88th match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Damião to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AF CERRADO had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
