Wilian Aguiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 37 minutes into the game, Wellington Vaz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wilian Aguiar. Wellington Vaz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliézer Pernambucano got free with Wilian Aguiar in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute of the match, Eliézer Pernambucano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wilian Aguiar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
