Roberto Abad was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Lorenzo Pirro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lorenzo Pirro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Roberto Abad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Frasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Isaac Oliverio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustino Azevedo was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaac Oliverio in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faustino Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Azulgranas AFC defense, Bonifacio Salvino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Faustino Azevedo. The Azulgranas AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Faustino Azevedo should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Leon Platense's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Cutberto came free, but Roberto Abad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faustino Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bonifacio Salvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faustino Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Oliverio in the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Leon Platense's Isaac Oliverio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Faustino Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Azulgranas AFC's Tomás Frasco got a free kick in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isaac Oliverio to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Leon Platense's zone, Tomás Frasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Abad came out of the goal and Tomás Frasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Frasco in the 55th minute of play forced Leon Platense's goalkeeper Roberto Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 minutes Leon Platense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lorenzo Pirro who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Lorenzo Pirro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roberto Abad quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 67 minutes into the match Isaac Oliverio climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-2 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Faustino Azevedo. In the 75thth minute of the game Ladislao Cutberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leon Platense's Roberto Abad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eriberto Che's late challenge caught a Leon Platense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eriberto Che helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 played minutes Azulgranas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Padro. After having played for 82 minutes, Fabian Ixidor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leon Platense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Ixidor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roberto Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Pirro in the 85th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Frasco during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Azulgranas AFC's Tomás Frasco got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After 94 played minutes Leon Platense got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Ixidor. In the 96th minute, Ladislao Cutberto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
