The The Shadows fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when The Shadows's Gary Lineker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, The Shadows's Alf Wiklund got a free kick in the 30th minute. Östen Röd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Endura, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Guaberto Ihintza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eloy Raymundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Östen Röd having to interfere. Gary Lineker's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, 肖常亦 skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Shadows's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
