In the 28th minute, Ian de Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Dito Velloso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ian de Godoi was the one to do the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Falcão couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ian de Godoi in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Målare saved Övertorneå RK from getting behind. But to his dismay, Dito Velloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. 87 minutes into the game, Dito Velloso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Stefan Målare was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Övertorneå RK's goalkeeper Stefan Målare, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Dito Velloso notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Övertorneå RK's Stefan Målare. Stefan Målare was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dito Velloso in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stefan Målare prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nova Iguaçu MZFC had played much better football throughout.
