After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Paul-Louis Van Mechelen got a free kick in the 7th minute. Roni Van Hoyveldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donatello Krik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurice Van Mechelen charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurice Van Mechelen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maurice Van Mechelen hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Roni Van Hoyveldt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donatello Krik in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Barça Salvadoreño FC's Dagoberto Ulloa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roni Van Hoyveldt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The supporters of Barça Salvadoreño FC booed when YR Mechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roni Van Hoyveldt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute Barça Salvadoreño FC were awarded a corner. Lionel do Nascimento went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in Dagoberto Ulloa drilling the ball in to score 0-4 behind YR Mechelen's goalkeeper. Corneel Van Mechelen kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Donatello Krik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Donatello Krik put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Roni Van Hoyveldt. Dagoberto Ulloa took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roni Van Hoyveldt. Roni Van Hoyveldt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Isaac Lovo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roni Van Hoyveldt having to interfere. The supporters of Barça Salvadoreño FC booed when YR Mechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diederik Van Mechelen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 49th minute Dagoberto Ulloa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roni Van Hoyveldt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
In the 53rd minute, Donatello Krik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lionel do Nascimento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roni Van Hoyveldt having to make a save. In the 58th minute, Donatello Krik fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 60th minute of the match, Lionel do Nascimento tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roni Van Hoyveldt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Roni Van Hoyveldt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute, YR Mechelen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dagoberto Ulloa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Donatello Krik did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-10 to the left of a surprised Roni Van Hoyveldt 88 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Barça Salvadoreño FC's Roni Van Hoyveldt threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Donatello Krik, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With his leg Roni Van Hoyveldt managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Barça Salvadoreño FC's Donatello Krik fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Donatello Krik in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roni Van Hoyveldt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Lovo in the 97th minute of play forced YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Roni Van Hoyveldt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
