Florin Lăzan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Khalel Al Motar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golden Tigers's supporters rose to their feet, but Khalel Al Motar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florin Lăzan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute Khalel Al Motar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Lăzan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Golden Tigers getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Hamzah Al Dowaisan hit a great ball. Bandar Al Amer hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Aadil Al Harban made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Teodor Romoşan sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Golden Tigers booed when Team in construction was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gică Tudor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th match minute, Team in construction was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Romoşan to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd match minute, Team in construction was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Tudose to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the game, Khalel Al Motar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Florin Lăzan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Panait Schipor was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Bandar Al Amer notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Team in construction's Florin Lăzan. Florin Lăzan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 58th minute of the match, Khalefa Al Homaithe tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Florin Lăzan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Aadil Al Harban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panait Schipor, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Panait Schipor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Khalefa Al Homaithe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florin Lăzan having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Team in construction's zone, Khalefa Al Homaithe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florin Lăzan came out of the goal and Khalefa Al Homaithe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florin Lăzan made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Khalel Al Motar sent off a good shot on target. Golden Tigers's Aamir Al Ateqi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Florin Lăzan but with some difficulty. After 82 minutes of play, Golden Tigers's Khalefa Al Homaithe made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Florin Lăzan was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Teodor Romoşan came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Team in construction fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodor Romoşan couldn't finish the play. The referee gave Team in construction a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Panait Schipor, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Golden Tigers's Aadil Al Harban. 2-4. Khalefa Al Homaithe's late challenge caught a Team in construction's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Khalefa Al Homaithe helped the player get up and apologised. Golden Tigers's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
