In the 7th minute, Ovidio Pello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lyon 69ers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Nils Stenqvist hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 14th match minute, Lyon 69ers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathis Boureau to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Lyon 69ers's zone, Marc Ahlstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hercule Couret came out of the goal and Marc Ahlstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th match minute, Lyon 69ers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Lecanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Marc Ahlstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Franco in the 27th minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Hercule Couret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erland Spetz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Pello, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Ovidio Pello took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erland Spetz. Erland Spetz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Hercule Couret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Ahlstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Franco in the 38th minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Hercule Couret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 minutes, Marc Meister mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lyon 69ers and the Näshulta FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erland Spetz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tom Beaune in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aloísio Lendaa was the one to do the kick off. Näshulta FK's Erland Spetz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Beaune in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Hercule Couret had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marc Ahlstedt. In the 54th match minute, Lyon 69ers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camille Gautheron to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match, Miguel Gai tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hercule Couret saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jack Kock hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Näshulta FK defense, Aloísio Lendaa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erland Spetz. The Näshulta FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erland Spetz should have stopped the shot. Näshulta FK's Erland Spetz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Lendaa in the 71st minute of play. Miguel Gai struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Hercule Couret didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Näshulta FK. In the 79th minute Ovidio Pello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erland Spetz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 played minutes Näshulta FK got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Gai. In the 89th match minute, Näshulta FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Gunnarsson to maneuver through the defense. Staffan Hjortsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Lyon 69ers walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
