The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Woodrow Baggett's late challenge caught a Vae Victis!!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Woodrow Baggett helped the player get up and apologised. Woodrow Baggett kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th minute Leonard Ventura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Gabriel Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Sarmento came free, but Luis Swain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th match minute, S.D. Bajen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milo Stallings to maneuver through the defense. In the 14thth minute of the game Lauro Sarmento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.D. Bajen's Luis Swain was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lauro Sarmento in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis Swain saved S.D. Bajen from getting behind. Rosario Church fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Gabriel Cabral having to interfere. A hard shot 25 in the game by Ivo Domingues from a close distance when the talented Luis Swain managed to make a qualified save. S.D. Bajen's players were relieved. Wilbur Metz kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Woodrow Baggett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Luis Swain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 34 played minutes S.D. Bajen got a freekick which was hit by Wilbur Metz. In the 35th minute Natã Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Swain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Vae Victis!!'s Ivo Domingues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luis Swain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Jonathan de Queiroz hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute of the match Larry Jackson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tiago Gabriel Cabral skillfully saved the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rosario Church to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Vae Victis!! got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Fernandes. With an all-out effort, S.D. Bajen's Tiago Gabriel Cabral threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rosario Church, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luis Swain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Tiago Gabriel Cabral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Woodrow Baggett's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. S.D. Bajen's Shaun Cobb was substituted for Woodrow Baggett. Vae Victis!!'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Délio Tasso in the 59th minute. Vae Victis!!'s Délio Tasso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luis Swain in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Vae Victis!!'s Tiago Gabriel Cabral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Vae Victis!! from getting a goal against them. Luis Swain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Sarmento in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vae Victis!!'s Natã Terra got a free kick in the 64th minute. S.D. Bajen's Adrian Murillo was substituted for Jorge Baez. A collision led to Vae Victis!! getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Natã Terra hit a great ball. A collision led to S.D. In the 74th minute, Shaun Cobb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Vae Victis!!'s goal looked a bit too open when Rosario Church came free, but Tiago Gabriel Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Swain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Domingues in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vae Victis!!'s goalkeeper Tiago Gabriel Cabral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Sarmento came free, but Luis Swain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Ivo Domingues made a precise shot to the right of Luis Swain. S.D. Bajen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Shaun Cobb blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiago Gabriel Cabral having to make a save. Luis Swain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Sarmento in the 93rd minute of play. Rodolfo Fernandes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Vae Victis!! were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of S.D. Bajen for a fine match.
