After a defensive mix-up in Vae Victis!!'s zone, Wilfried Zaha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Gabriel Cabral came out of the goal and Wilfried Zaha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vitório Pimenta scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of António Trubin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Manuel Porto might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiago Gabriel Cabral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Porto ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jorge Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Rodolfo Fernandes in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sporting Clube de Gaya's Isaac Göransson. Manuel Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Tiago Gabriel Cabral threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilfried Zaha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vitório Pimenta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but António Trubin made a huge save. After 55 played minutes Vae Victis!! got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Mangueira. 58 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Tasso came free, but António Trubin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting Clube de Gaya's António Trubin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Terra in the 62nd minute of play. Natã Terra took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised António Trubin. António Trubin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Vae Victis!!'s Ivo Domingues was substituted for Natã Terra. After 67 played minutes Vae Victis!! got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Mangueira. Vae Victis!! made a substitution. Falcão Garcia replaced Vitório Pimenta. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Horácio Pedroso got a free kick in the 71st minute. Vae Victis!! made a substitution. Ezequiel Hermes replaced Dorian Neto.
