Spectators: 7743 (Terracing: 5809, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 154) After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Kristian Brodin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Degerfors IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristian Brodin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. William Rosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cleiton Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Sebastian Sandberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Degerfors IF defense, Grady Esposito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastian Sandberg. The Degerfors IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastian Sandberg should have stopped the shot. In the 9th minute of the match, Cleiton Vidal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sebastian Sandberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sebastian Sandberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleiton Vidal in the 10th minute of play. Sebastian Sandberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Grady Esposito showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Vila Mascote FC's Kaká Mota nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Sandberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 21st minute, Grady Esposito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Degerfors IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Grady Esposito was slow to take the kick. During this time Vila Mascote FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Vila Mascote FC's corner José de Mendonça fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sebastian Sandberg quite easily take care of the ball. Morgan Hansson's late challenge caught a Vila Mascote FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Morgan Hansson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th match minute, Degerfors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morgan Hansson to maneuver through the defense. If Kristian Brodin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Sandberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaká Mota in the 36th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Degerfors IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

In the 50th match minute, Vila Mascote FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Baiano to maneuver through the defense. William Rosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristian Brodin's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Cleiton Vidal took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Sandberg. Sebastian Sandberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Degerfors IF's Sebastian Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleiton Vidal in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grady Esposito in the 70th minute of play forced Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Sebastian Sandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kristian Brodin, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 72 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The William Rosa was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Sebastian Sandberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleiton Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kristian Brodin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. William Rosa came out and tried to block the shot, but Kristian Brodin slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 80th minute. In the 85th minute, Kristian Brodin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Rosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. A collision led to Vila Mascote FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. José Augusto Brito hit a great ball. If Cleiton Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaká Mota in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastian Sandberg saved Degerfors IF from getting behind. Degerfors IF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
