Floriana Celtics's Tyron Tufignio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Floriana Celtics from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the FC Dundee defense, Edward Ellis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olev Naer. The FC Dundee fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olev Naer should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Vonk in the 12th minute of play forced Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Tyron Tufignio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arno Luuk got free with Tyron Tufignio in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olev Naer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Bonavia, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 24 minutes FC Dundee's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Miguel Piscopo who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that David Terribile got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Olev Naer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Kaido Värk hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Olev Naer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Ellis in the 27th minute of the match. Olev Naer came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Floriana Celtics's Edward Ellis. But to his dismay, Edward Ellis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Tyron Tufignio stood somewhat misplaced when Arno Luuk came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 35 minute.

51 minutes into the match, FC Dundee's goalkeeper Olev Naer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Ellis. Olev Naer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Piscopo in the 52nd minute of play. Floriana Celtics's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Miguel Piscopo in the 53rd minute. After 62 played minutes Floriana Celtics got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Piscopo. FC Dundee's Sten Vonk got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kurt Bonavia charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kurt Bonavia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Dundee booed when Floriana Celtics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Bonavia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tyron Tufignio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arno Luuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st match minute, Floriana Celtics was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Bonavia to maneuver through the defense. FC Dundee's Arno Luuk got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th match minute, Floriana Celtics was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zach Massa to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Martin Moonen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arno Luuk in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tyron Tufignio saved Floriana Celtics from getting behind. Olev Naer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Stivala, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. A collision led to Floriana Celtics getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Kurt Bonavia hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Floriana Celtics's Olev Naer threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Miguel Piscopo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 89 minutes, Joosep Hindremäe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Dundee and the Floriana Celtics players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Dundee getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Joosep Hindremäe hit a great ball. When Arno Luuk fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Dundee's protests and gave Arno Luuk a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Floriana Celtics booed when FC Dundee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arno Luuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Miguel Piscopo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Olev Naer. Miguel Piscopo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Floriana Celtics walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
