The supporters of De Boedo Vengo booed when Estudiantes de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Tancredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lucio Tabb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, De Boedo Vengo's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Tabb came free, but Victorino Haimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. De Boedo Vengo's Victorino Haimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Tabb in the 22nd minute of play. If Lucio Tabb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victorino Haimar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Tabb in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's Lucio Tabb sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victorino Haimar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, De Boedo Vengo's goalkeeper Victorino Haimar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Tabb. Estudiantes de América's Eriberto Tancredo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by King Modrić in the 33 minute of the game. Victorino Haimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Tabb, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute of the match Estudiantes de América got a corner. De Boedo Vengo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ignacio Donostia ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Estudiantes de América's Ignacio Donostia to fire away a dangerous shot which Victorino Haimar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ignacio Donostia hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Estudiantes de América's Elias Argoitz was substituted for Ignacio Donostia. 56 minutes into the game, Gino Custódio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pascual Acosta. Gino Custódio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Tabb in the 59th minute of play forced De Boedo Vengo's goalkeeper Victorino Haimar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubaldo Honesto charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ubaldo Honesto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ubaldo Honesto kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Elias Argoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 minutes, Moises Eyague made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. De Boedo Vengo's Victorino Haimar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Estudiantes de América getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ricardo Caton hit a great ball. Victorino Haimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Tabb, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. De Boedo Vengo's Victorino Haimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Luke in the 85th minute of play. Moises Eyague received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Victorino Haimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Adrian Ospetsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gino Custódio struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Pascual Acosta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Boedo Vengo. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Estudiantes de América fans cheered their team off the field, for while De Boedo Vengo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
