The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11th minute of the match Los Hijos de Doña Beija got a corner. STORM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Domingo Salvidor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Domingo Salvidor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but STORM's Ruslan Gavrilenkov did a great save. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Carmelo Claus got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruslan Gavrilenkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Lluc in the 17th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Los Hijos de Doña Beija got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Lluc. The supporters of STORM booed when Los Hijos de Doña Beija was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Lluc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boris Bogdanov's late challenge caught a Los Hijos de Doña Beija's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boris Bogdanov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, STORM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Bogdanov to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, STORM's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Lluc came free, but Ruslan Gavrilenkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 minutes STORM's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Domingo Salvidor who took care of the corner kick. Carmelo Claus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Ruslan Gavrilenkov made a huge save. Ruslan Gavrilenkov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Claus in the 36th minute. Ruslan Gavrilenkov stood somewhat misplaced when Carmelo Claus came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 38 minute. Luigi Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stepan Holodovskiy in the 40th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Aleksey Abibulaev managed to get in a good position for a shot. STORM's supporters rose to their feet, but Aleksey Abibulaev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luigi Gatti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st match minute, STORM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stepan Holodovskiy to maneuver through the defense. 51 minutes into the match, Guaberto Lluc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruslan Gavrilenkov. STORM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guaberto Lluc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When Guaberto Lluc came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Los Hijos de Doña Beija fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guaberto Lluc couldn't finish the play. A collision led to STORM getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Genrikh Goloulin hit a great ball. Luigi Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stepan Holodovskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Hijos de Doña Beija's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Semen Leonchenko was slow to take the kick. During this time STORM's players had a chance to rest. In the 62nd minute, STORM's Leonid Kurashov fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Luigi Gatti was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Andrey Sokolenko hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Luigi Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksey Abibulaev in the 70th minute of the match. Ruslan Gavrilenkov came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Mauricio Amato. But to his dismay, Mauricio Amato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After 83 minutes, Aleksey Abibulaev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the STORM and the Los Hijos de Doña Beija players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mauricio Amato scored 6-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruslan Gavrilenkov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Los Hijos de Doña Beija had won after a very even match.
