Gyepüpataka's Péter Pál-Szabó proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Gyepüpataka from getting a goal against them. Péter Pál-Szabó made an important save on a dangerous shot by Er Håland in the 24th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Er Håland kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Péter Pál-Szabó. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Gyepüpataka's Iordache Voinescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matias Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Paredes in the 38th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Gyepüpataka defense, Er Håland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Péter Pál-Szabó. The Gyepüpataka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Péter Pál-Szabó should have stopped the shot. Matias Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Paredes in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind TaTeRo Boys's goalkeeper Matias Taffarel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonio Paredes made a kick off. Er Håland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 54th minute Er Håland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Péter Pál-Szabó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans Kilstedt hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Paredes in the 56th minute of play forced TaTeRo Boys's goalkeeper Matias Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Gyepüpataka's Matias Taffarel threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iordache Voinescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. TaTeRo Boys's Grzegorz Czerwinski was substituted for Nilton Lira. 63 minutes into the game, TaTeRo Boys's Endrik Halland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
