The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Teodoro Ferraz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frederico Leme. José Vítor Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Vítor Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. José Vítor Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Erivaldo Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Penha in the 4th minute of the match. Adelino Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo Furlan having to interfere. Erivaldo Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Hílton Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Erivaldo Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erivaldo Furlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adelino Saldanha went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Peixoto in the 25th minute of play forced Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Teodoro Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Ferraz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 28th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Frederico Lemes short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Teodoro Ferraz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hílton Penha in the 36th minute of play forced Tamboril's goalkeeper Erivaldo Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tadeu Prestes scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erivaldo Furlan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 44 played minutes Tamboril got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Lara. Erivaldo Furlan came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Adelino Saldanha. But to his dismay, Adelino Saldanha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After the first half Jumeuc Futebol Clube were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adelino Saldanha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vânderson Peixoto scored 2-3 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro Ferraz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hílton Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Erivaldo Furlan made a huge save. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Teodoro Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Peixoto in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Tamboril's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Prestes came free, but Erivaldo Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, one of Jumeuc Futebol Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jumeuc Futebol Clube:s Teodoro Ferraz showed great skill when he stopped Glauco Leão:s penalty. Tamboril's Rafa Bueno was substituted for Alfredão Pirani. The audience was convinced that Frederico Leme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodoro Ferraz was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Frederico Leme put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Teodoro Ferraz. In the 71st minute Tamboril were awarded a corner. Glauco Leão went to the cornerflag to take it. Tamboril's Glauco Leão was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Teodoro Ferraz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Tamboril booed when Jumeuc Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Falcão Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Teodoro Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Leme in the 77th minute of play. Hílton Penha struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Erivaldo Furlan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jumeuc Futebol Clube. After 79 minutes, Claudinei da Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jumeuc Futebol Clube and the Tamboril players grew even worse after the yellow card. Claudinei da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match Tamboril got a corner. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Glauco Leão ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Glauco Leão got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Teodoro Ferraz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ediberto Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Glauco Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vânderson Peixoto in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Tamboril booed when Jumeuc Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erivaldo Furlan was a little too slow when Adelino Saldanha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 98th minute. The score was now 3-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jumeuc Futebol Clube walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
