Antonio Sorriva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Edwardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Stefan Kjellqvist was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 37 minutes had been played. Stefan Kjellqvist hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Antonio Sorriva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Edwardo in the 41st minute of the match. If Edelmiro Carulla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juniors FC's Sebastian Battaglia managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marino Malet in the 45 minute of the game. The Sociedad Anónima players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Juniors FC were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edelmiro Carulla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lisandro Oalo's late challenge caught a Sociedad Anónima's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lisandro Oalo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sociedad Anónima booed when Juniors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Sorriva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesar Edwardo's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Cesar Edwardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Sorriva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesar Edwardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Cesar Edwardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 64th minute Cesar Edwardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Sorriva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juniors FC's Sebastian Battaglia managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marino Malet in the 65 minute of the game. Sociedad Anónima made a substitution. Lourenco Agreda replaced Marino Malet. Marino Malet hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Oriche Campillo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Ricardo Baleren replaced Cesar Edwardo. Berriotxoa Asteguieta got a throw-in 80 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Santiago García. Edelmiro Carulla took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Moises Iigo. Moises Iigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Edelmiro Carulla charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edelmiro Carulla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Juniors FC booed when Sociedad Anónima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Carulla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Baleren struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Antonio Sorriva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juniors FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Ricardo Baleren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juniors FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Baleren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Sorriva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Juniors FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sociedad Anónima throughout the match.
