Sven Alebom made in the 12th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fabiofs's Marcinho Lopez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sune Sjöberg in the 15th minute of play forced Fabiofs's goalkeeper Giuseppe Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Åke Håkansson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the game, one of Halkus Valkus BK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Marcellus Baumann had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Pedro Paulo Arce's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Fabiofs getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rodriguinho Schmidt hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fabiofs's zone, Sune Sjöberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giuseppe Montenegro came out of the goal and Sune Sjöberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th match minute, Fabiofs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Barral to maneuver through the defense. Halkus Valkus BK's Uku Vana couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fabiofs. Giuseppe Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidiu Spirea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Fabiofs's goal looked a bit too open when Klas Fransson came free, but Giuseppe Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Fabiofs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Barral to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ovidiu Spirea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Fabiofs's Serafim Barral got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Fabiofs's Ramón Fantini managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ovidiu Spirea in the 56 minute of the game. Giuseppe Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidiu Spirea in the 66th minute of play. Marcellus Baumann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Pihlwall in the 70th minute of play forced Fabiofs's goalkeeper Giuseppe Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
